Brief overview
Under the stewardship of Managing Director John Mulholland for the last 30 years, PDQ Solutions Ltd has worked with a range of leading-edge organizations in Northern Ireland and beyond. The name PDQ Solutions represents the two core services it provides People Development (coaching and training) and Quality solutions (standards). Our values include customer focus, cooperation and collaboration, competence and compliance and continuous improvement in our day-to-day work with clients, potential clients and other stakeholders.
The organization offers a range of accredited and non-accredited Programmes, particularly but not exclusively on leadership and management. Delivered in conjunction with a cohort of competent Associates PDQ Solutions initially focused on delivering assessment and advisory services related to Investors in People (IIP). As a qualified Assessor, Advisor and Quality Manager for Investors in People, John was involved in the assessment and recognition of over 450 IIP organizations and was one of only 20 trainers worldwide for the new IIP 6th Generation framework, having been involved in the design and development of each of the previous versions. He was involved with IIP for over twenty years. John successfully assisted organizations as diverse as Titanic Belfast (IIP Gold), successfully supporting organization such as the Cedar Foundation (IIP Platinum), Newtownabbey Council (IIP Gold), Allstate NI (IIP Gold), Supervalu Ballymoney (IIP Gold) and St Cecilia’s College (IIP Gold). He also supported 4 of these organizations to achieve a total of 7 IIP International awards over a three-year period. More recently, PDQ has diversified to incorporate quality standards such ISO 30415 HRM: Diversity and Inclusion , the UKAS accredited Customer Service Excellence standard and IS0 30480 Suicide Prevention in the Workplace.
With over 20 years experience delivering a Chartered Management Institute portfolio (level 2 – level 7 qualifications) PDQ Solutions has been hugely successful working with a range of corporate clients resulting in organizational improvements leading to National Training Award acclaim for the ‘Managing for Success’ programme with the Cedar Foundation. PDQ Solutions also won the Management and Leadership Best Practice Award and were runners up for the Business in the Community Award for providing consultancy support to small businesses.
John sits on the British Standards Institute (BSI) Human Resource Committee and has played a key role in the delivery of Valuing People Management System (BS76000). He has conducted the first thirteen assessments worldwide for ISO 30415 Human Resource Management: Diversity and Inclusion and is one of only 10 trained auditors for ISO30414 Human Capital Reporting. He received a commendation for his role in developing and supporting organizations to implement a standard for Suicide Prevention in the Workplace.
